It has finally happened. Prada handbags has jumped on the eco-tote bandwagon and come up with the Prada B.Y.O.Bags collection that’s not only chic but pretty affordable too. And while the term affordable can be different things to different people, one does have to bear in mind that this is Prada at the end of day.
Looks like Prada handbags is making good use of road kill once again, this time in the likes of Sylvester the Puddy Tat (Tweety Bird is probably the only one happy about this bag). The description claims this is made of shearling but I ask you– what kind of lamb has this type of fur? If they bought the skin from China (which many luxury brands do nowadays) this very well could be from the feline species (remember the dog fur sold as “faux fur” a while back?”).
Besides the bad choice of fur, however, is the strange combo of glitzy chain with western style buckle and top handle. There are so many things wrong with this prada bags that my only advice is stay far far away (unless you want to be chased by dingos when you use it).

Miuccia Prada handbags should’ve taken a page from Chanel when it came to creating some limited-edition bags to celebrate the Shanghai World Expo, which officially commenced this past weekend. While Karl Lagerfeld envisioned chic dragon motif costume jewelry and cheeky take-out container evening bag, Prada churned what looks like some second-rate tote bags that look both sloppy and plain silly.
Yes, while I appreciate that they were playing homage to Shanghai’s skyline and nature motifs (what nature motifs?), it’s just plain boring and passé. Do or do they not scream “I’m a tourist?” And beyond the fact that you’ll know they were made for the Expo, they bear no long-term artistic value (translation: increased value over time).
If you’re looking to sport prada bags that’ll cost several hundred dollars bearing Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl Tower towers or embroidered with dainty flowers and leaves alongside a pink pair of ballet flats, white clouds and pink butterflies, then you’ve hit the jackpot. But, c’mon now, let’s think a little outside the box. There are times to embrace the objective head-on–this was not one such occasion
I popped into the Prada handbags boutique last weekend with a couple of friends and made my way around the store quicker than any other store we went into. The collection was part odd part lackluster. And all I kept thinking is what happened? I used to find joy in so many Prada bags designs and used to look to Prada each season with anticipation.
The design of this exact bag is not a bad design, it is just not a design that gives me much excitement. Right now I am looking to add some different designs in my collection, bags that have more zest, and Prada doesn’t seem to have it. This tote is simple and seemingly there is nothing to complain about. The golden metal hardware gives a sophisticated touch along with the business-like shape with the East/West body and double top handles. The inside has jacquard lining and a zip pocket. Measurements are 9 1/2″H x 14 3/4″W x 6 3/4″D.
You end up paying for the name and the skin in this prada purses, a whopping $5,995 at Bergdorf Goodman.
You know how the movies portray things. Everyone walks fast, walks with a purpose, walks with power… oh and they all look fabulous. I was instantly reminded of this when I came across the Prada Ivory Saffiano Bi-Fold Zip Briefcase.
First and foremost, I love this briefcase. It is sleek, elegant and it means business. There’s an old saying that says if you want the part, you must dress the part. Let me tell you something, this briefcase is definitely THE part. The saffiano calfskin is topped off with silvertone hardware.
This Prada bags has a bi-fold front pocket with a zip closure – perfect for grabbing that presentation you’ve prepared. The front leather lined compartment has built in pen holders, card and patch pockets. Basically you have everything you’d expect in a traditional briefcase, but it is a touch more fashion forward. The measurements are 16” wide x 11½” tall x 3” deep.
Now, what I am trying to figure out is if this bag is meant for a man or a woman. I am sure there are a few men out here that could pull this off, yet I am thinking most men would opt for black or brown instead of white. With the given measurements, do you think this would be too large for a woman to carry?
