PRADA HANDBAGS & PURSES

There are some young celebs out there who carry some absolutely fantabulous handbags. Ashley Tisdale completely fits into this category. In fact, I would go so far as to say that she is one of the best dressed young celebs out there – especially when talking about day to day attire.

The Tiz, as Amanda so lovingly calls her, was snapped having lunch with British R&B star Jay Sean in LA. While this was just a nice casual lunch, Ashley didn’t spare fashion in order to attain comfort. She’s carrying a fabulous black Prada Fringle Bag as well as sporting a ferocious set of  Christian Louboutin heels. Ashley definitely has a great sense of rocker chic and it is totally working!

I may have lost the will to write about Heidi Pratt, and I’m not the only one. Recently, E! Online ran a poll to see if its readers wanted them to cover Heidi and Spencer’s antics, and 94% of readers said no. We’re not going to stop covering them as long as she carries fabulous bags, but it seems like E’s writers feel the way that a lot of us do – that they’re slimy, loathsome creatures that need to be sent back to whatever swamp they crawled out of. They admitted as much by even putting it to a poll, and the results were overwhelming.

And I know it’s not nice to hate people, but if there are celebrities that I hate, it’s them. I think we all do. I certainly haven’t read anything nice about them in a while. We do often say nice things about Heidi’s handbags, though, and her Prada Python Print Clutch isn’t terrible, although I don’t think it’s dressy enough for such a glam outfit (notice the glittery Louboutins on her feet).

Because I’m not a 7th Heaven devotee I haven’t seen much of Jessica Biel since I saw The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and was massively freaked out by it. But I’m not letting this post be affected by that. From the looks of it, Jessica is taking points from her early life spent in Boulder,CO, which is consistently ranked as one of the fittest cities in America.

From her amazing body to her big water jug, it’s clear that Jessica’s been working out, and she’s made a great choice in carrying the Prada Vela Fabric Bag. It’s a workout bag without really looking like one, which is of course the point. And it’s a great idea. Prada bags now seem like they were practically made for the gym, at least to me. Next time I need a workout bag, I’ll follow Jessica’s lead and go for the Prada

This Victoria’s Secret model has been spotted all over the place with hottie Orlando Bloom lately. Well, Miranda Kerr has been spotted with Orlando, but the couple does the best they can to dodge cameras in order conceal their love. I don’t know why though because if were Miranda I would be screaming “I’m dating Orlando Bloom” from the roof tops. But hey, that’s just me.

Anyways, Miranda is pictured here carrying a gorgeous Prada Saffiano & Tessuto Tote Bag while hanging in Paris during Paris Fashion Week. If you think this bag looks familiar it is because we covered Sienna Miller carrying the same bag not too long ago. I love the deep red and double rolled handles. Even more than that, I absolutely love the way the bag pops against the rest of  Miranda’s outfit. She looks gorgeous.

I’m underwhelmed, and I hate being underwhelmed. I’m not a huge fan of  Prada handbags Fall 2009 offerings, and I’m even less of a fan of  Prada handbags Spring 2010. So much so that it kind of makes my head hurt.

Memo to the fashion industry: no one wants clear vinyl prada bags. No one. You guys tried this crap a few seasons ago and thought it would be cute, and they all ended up on the sale rack at the end of the season, and they didn’t even move particularly quickly once discounted. A clear, architectural hard plastic clutch meant to hold three things for a night out, a la Fendi’s Spring 2010 presentation? That’s clear done well.

But a vinyl gray-tinted clear satchel meant to hold the dreck of everyday life, like tampons and your ATM receipts? No thanks. Do not want. Ever. But that, with some jewels stuck to the top and a canvas tote or two thrown in for good measure, is basically what we got.

 Since Prada purses does such a big bag collection for every season, this is probably only the tip of the iceberg and several other non-runway mini lines will eventually surface, but if this is any indication of what’s to come, I’ll take a pass
